Political Sign. Are you kidding me!

Just saw sign. "Are you better now than 2 years ago?"

Let's see, 2 years ago we were locked in the house, ambulance sirens screamed throughout the night, people were dying by the thousands from COVID, health care workers dropping from exhaustion, and the Orange MAGA King telling us to drink bleach.

Hell to the yes, we are better.

The title was, I Still Miss My Man, but My Aim Is Getting Better.

It's by Sarah Shankman.

I almost bought it for the title alone.

I like archery.

Guess he'd make a good target, if he REALLY wants people to focus on him and never miss him again.

But I could never actually get that close to the real orange man.

My puke factor is so bad I want to barf just hearing his voice.

Yeah, even a paper target would be torture to me. Having to look at that face.

Nah. Not worth it.

Or explosive diarrhea.
Or bunions.
Or male pattern baldness.
Or halitosis.
Or piles.
Or projectile vomiting.

You get the idea.

And then we couldn't leave our houses and our store shelves were empty. Plus we had Proud Boys riots, and all kinds of other shit. So yeah I'm glad that's all behind us!

got a real nice shirt at the end of the year that said "I survived 2020"

Didn't have to do much explaining about that shirt.

And then in 2021 I was calculating when I might get a vaccine - June, maybe July?/ Then all of a sudden in early MARCH vaccines were available! MARCH for gawd's sake. What a turnaround!

Didn't get COVID until vaxed and boosted twice. It wasn't too bad, but the foggy brain lingered for weeks with me. I cannot imagine what it would have been like if I got it in 2020.

The sign writer obviously thought people would look at the past through rose-colored glasses and think 2020 was just dandy, with no problems of any kind.

Sorry sign writer, 2 years isn't long enough to forget the bad things and only remember the good.

Going to take me a while to get over the cringe TFG caused me many times - drink bleach, UV light applied internally?
TFG trying to establish his family as the hereditary US royal family?
All those who thought TFG was a Good Idea?
WTF? 10 times a day?

Come to think of it, anything good going on back then in 2020? Can't think of anything myself.

I'm in my 60s and today I feel I will get to the finish line.

Covid Booster II is in the books.

We came home today with a brand-new SUV. I expect the 2020 SUV to be paid off some time next year.

401K is on the comeback.

Inflation sucks but we shop smarter and take advantage of the loss leaders. The berries we buy were only priced high when the idiot Texas Governor let them rot in Mexico.

Yeah, I'm worse off.

She's asking if we are better off than 4 years ago. Blissfully remembering the years when Mango Mussolini occupied the White House, I guess.

Short answer: "Yes, we are better off".

She's using $1.5 million of Phil Knight's money to spread the cult message.

My stocks are way down from two years ago. Economically speaking, things cost a lot less two years ago (gas and food). The only difference is that I don't blame Biden for any of this.

things like hospital beds, ventilators, and morgue space. Whatever fucker put up that sign seems to have forgotten the stacks of dead bodies that had to be stored in refrigerator trucks. Fuck them. They should ask all the kids who lost one or both parents 2 years ago that question.

Let's also not forget all of the other shortages. Toilet paper and other paper products, bread and yeast, bleach, desks and laptop computers, bicycles, microchips, laundry detergent, rubbing alcohol, disinfectants and wipes... There was even a shortage of frickin' coins.
