Bannon was not sent to prison after sentencing because he said that he would appeal. The judge in effect agreed that Bannon had some chance of prevailing in this appeal which is why Bannon is not serving time
Bannon should be serving time now while he appeals

He will be even more "appealing" in the future. He has his hands in all the countries around the world that want populist or fascist governments. Will he ever get nailed? When?

viable. But, I don't see why he wasn't jailed pending his appeal.
