This morning in NJ, sunrise will be at 7:32.

Tomorrow it will be at 6:30.

If Marco Rubio's bill for yearlong Daylight Savings Time passes the House and the President signs the bill, next year, sunrise could be as late as 8:18 in the morning.

And it lasted one year. I wish folks would learn from history. And from the scientists who say year round DST is bad for us.

I think it might interesting to try again, get all the DST bennies in the afternoon, let the morning do what it will - zero dark thirty all winter... its just a few weeks of the worst of it, but the evening benefits would last all year. I really dislike the sudden dark evenings of the return to standard time.

and angry. In their minds, they'll be fed an hour late ..... they will be stalking me!
However, if we go on yearlong Daylight Savings Time, this will be last year I'll have to endure that.

I remember that I was teaching in the 70's when we tried it. One can get accustomed to riding to work in the dark.

Work out and homework before anyone's up. By the time it's fully light, I've gotten quite a bit done.

Dark evenings are also nice.

Actually dark anything. I'm pale potato people, so the less sunlight the better. When I lived overseas, it wouldn't get light til 8:30a and it was already getting dark by 3:30p. It was lovely.
