Many male pundits say the abortion issue has faded. Maybe they're just dim

In Michigan, a Detroit News/Glengariff poll conducted Oct. 26-28 found that while more independent voters said inflation was the most important issue facing Michigan, slightly more independents also tagged abortion as the issue most motivating them to vote.

Independent Voters

What is the most important issue facing Michigan?

40% Inflation
31% abortion
Which issue is most motivating you to go to the polls?

35% abortion
34% inflation
Among all female voters, abortion was the primary driver motivating them to vote, reported ClickonDetroit.com. Overall, 43.5% of female voters said they care most about abortion and women’s rights issues, while just 24.6% of male voters did.

In Pennsylvania, the latest Fox News poll found that, far from fading, intensity around abortion had actually increased more than on any other issue in the state's critical Senate race.

Here is a comment on KOS which I agree with...

and while the pundits aren't talking about it much, I'm sure hoping that women will be thinking about it when filling out their ballots.

I know I did and I'm not even a woman. I've just been around long enough to know that if they succeed at this, more and worse will be coming.

"If one person's rights are denied, all of our rights are denied."

That is the single most important message we can give to everyone.

I don't have to be a woman to support other women. I and my wife are both seniors now. We don't have a daughter for whose rights in the matter we have to stand up.

It doesn't matter. If we don't stand up for the rights of every woman, then we really don't deserve any ourselves.

and many male pundits have done so. They assume people will be more mad about inflation.

Inflation can be tough, but overturning Roe is an assault on your personhood. That has to be a much bigger motivator.

The fact that they plan to overturn elections just adds more weight.

worry about pregnancy every single time they have sex. It is always there. Menstruation also doesn’t fully make the fear go away…what if you’re one of the “lucky” women who still get their period even though they’re pregnant?
Are these men so obtuse they don’t realize this? Or just callous? Lying for Jesus?
I don’t know, don’t care. I’m just fucking sick of reading their viewpoint.

because of these bans will continue on and on and affect more and more people and families.

If we're not premenopausal ourselves, most of us have premenopausal daughters and/or nieces and/or friends and/or co-workers, etc. who are being put in danger and denied bodily autonomy by the anti-abortion GQP Taliban. This issue ain't NEVAH gonna go away!

It's an issue for her. She still says she's an independent (and probably has voted for more Rs than Ds ), but will only vote Blue until the repukes give up on Trumpism.

I'm the family leftist.

Women suffer the fear of pregnancy every time they have sex whether before, during or afterward. And every month before her period starts. A regular reminder like that becomes internalized by cultural norms. We may not be talking about it but we haven't forgotten, not for one minute. Even those of us who are beyond child-bearing abilities.

The psyche of a woman is far different from that of a man when it comes to such things. For instance, women have afar different reaction to this song than men do.

Just sayin' for those who think women forgot.
