Lefty advertisers need to be "hauled in front of Congress" for leaving Musk Twitter !!

What we REALLY need is a MOAR Authoritative Government !

Andrew Wortman
@AmoneyResists

So an advisor to the most powerful Republican member of the Senate is
putting out lists of companies who have pulled their ads from twitter and
suggesting they be
"hauled in front of Congress" if the GOP regains control
of the House. Nothing authoritarian about this.

Musk not only isn't a First Amendment absolutist, he has no idea what the Freedom of Speech provision means.

or taking any kind of ethical consideration into account in how they do business. They want to be able to force electricity generators to use coal, for instance. In their worldview, companies are for making short-term profits for rich people and for nothing else. So if Musk needs to hold on to advertisers, then they think they can harass those who see him as toxic.

That the guy who payed way too much for a social media platform and then promptly drove it into the ground doesn’t understand the first thing about the free market.

The House would be fucking stupid to try and punish any business for exercising it’s right to invest its money where they deem best. Regardless of the party in control.

And hence have the rights accorded to people under the Constitution?

I seem to vaguely recall some court judgment about that a while back.
