(7,867 posts)I was going through TargetSmart's early voting data yesterday and California was actually one of the few states where Democrats were doing worse than normal.

(3,614 posts)My vote was Received and Counted!!!
I think that many many voters in California use the mail in ballot option. I dropped off my ballot on Monday at a drop box, and today, Saturday, it was counted. We don't get the results in California until days after the election because they accept mail in ballots up to election day. So I think it may be difficult to tell how many people 'show up' because I think more than half of us use the mail in ballots.
It always feels great to drop off my ballot. I kind of skipped back to my car saying out loud "I Voted!" a passerby kind of grinned at me for being silly.
The good news, I didn't see any RINOHunters around the ballot box.
I love the BallotTrax system. I get emails telling me 1. To expect my materials in the mail, and 2. Reminders to return the ballot (I was dragging my feet on the research, it was a very LONG ballot), and best of all, 3. Notification when my Ballot is received and counted. Kind of makes it difficult for someone else to fraudulently take my vote without me knowing.
