Huge GQP signs are EVERYWHERE. Far fewer, and much smaller Dem signs

The GQP signs approach billboard signs. They on 2x4 lumber with serious wind bracing.

The sign differences are NO indication of candidate popularity.

Our Dem governor candidate is currently THIRTY TWO POINTS ahead of their GQP candidate. Our term-limited Republican governor not only refused to endorse the GQP candidate, he called him a Q-Anon nut job.

The Dems signs seem normal for any election.

The GQP signs appear to me as desperation.

Oh yeah . . . . . Maryland.

And yes, judging by the size of their signs, the gop brand must be quite desperate.

Gerald Malloy signs all over the place. He's running as the Republican for Pat Leahy's old Senate seat. Saw a ton of them on the University of Vermont campus last weekend in Burlington. In the right of way mind you, but they're everywhere. It's like the guy blew his entire bankroll on those stupid signs. Doesn't matter. Peter Welch will trounce him. He's polling 2 to Malloy's 1. To be honest, I'm kind of proud of that.

Tim Ryan is a real Democrat running in a red state. Everyone can’t run in Manhattan. If more people thought like, spoke like and acted like Tim Ryan, we would not be in such a shitty place.

I wss out last Monday, drove through this town and into one adjacent and I saw NO signs. There weren't any on 2020, either, I suppose more due to the pandemic and everybody knew TFG didn't have a hope in hell around here. I have never seen a red cap in the wild, nor a TFG flag. I know a few parts of the state people might get away with them without being laughed at, but this isn't it.

I'm glad they're overspending. I'm glad they're desperate. I just hope they;re humiliated.

I’m watching bread baking on YouTube (Novita Listyani is very good) and getting an Oz ad every three minutes. I flag each and every one as inappropriate. Usually when I flag an ad as inappropriate, they’ll show me some other ads, but the Oz ads keep coming. Someone dumped a shit ton of money on YouTube.

It just meant his supporters are in a cult.

Dems don't idolize and proselytize and get in people's faces with huge signs and flags, because we're not in a cult. We see elections as basically choosing someone for a government job; Republicans see it as an evangelical crusade. Fortunately, there is more of us than the cult. We just need to vote.

GQP can put up signs while Dems vote. Because really it's who has the most votes. Not who tries to compensate with loudness.

I live in the super blue town of Burlington, VT. There is absolutely no question of how Republicans will do. In local city wide elections, the race is between the progressives, who currently have a majority on t h e town council and the Democrats, the mayor's party. Yet coming into town on the interstate, there are more signs for the various Republicans who will definitely lose. More signs than for Democrats who are huge favorites or even the moderate Republican governor, eho will very very likely win.

Yet as soon as. You turn into any residential street and you see virtually no Republicans signs many for. WELCH, Becca, and Zucherman. Why the difference? Entering town it is public right a way and the Republicans bought signs and put them there. But, peoples' lawns tell the real story.

It seems like Republicans don’t mind pissing away their money in places like Vermont. It’s kinda like the fact that Pelosi and AOC’s opponents always get millions and millions in donations, only to blow it all and lose by 30 points.

I don’t want raging maga nuts to know where I live.

My son-in-law has a haunted yard at his house that the kids go through and they put up an alien spaceship along with other stuff. Daughter dressed as an alien and said to the kids going by, take me to your leader. Suddenly, some big wild eyed guy started shouting at her, “F’in Biden is not our leader!”

She said , This is Halloween for the kids, not politics. Get off the property!

They’re everywhere and I don’t want my property damaged.

Helping an old neighbor whose house caught on fire. Took a turn around the neighborhood, to see if any signs were up. The neighborhood is near Clark High School, which is a solid middle-class/upper-middle class neighborhood, not far from very $$$$$$$$$ Shavano Park. It tended to be solid purple in the past, maybe on the red side, thanks to being mostly an empty-nester boomer neighborhood, with young families trickling in.

And yet not one Abbott sign to be found. All 7 of the houses that had governor signs up were for Beto.

That is unusual. Even the Republican family on one corner who used to blanket their yard with r signs don't have any posted now. Neighbor says that in 2018, they had Beto signs for Senate.

Also heard that the two Needy Amin families were shamed for keeping their MAGA 2020 signs up through the Stolen Election nonsense. I don't know the method used to get them to stop being stupid, but neither of them have signs up now. Of any kind.

I think what's going on with the r quiet is that the old-timers might be r or r-leaning, but a bunch of them are retired postal workers/feds, and ex-military (it's SA, after all). That crowd would NOT have approved of J6 for any reason, even if they were r themselves.

J6 might have been the last straw for some of them regarding the r party. Without talking to some of them, I can't say for sure. I don't exactly have time for it right now. But I have a feeling that's going on. At least in that neighborhood.
