I just early voted in Florida, turnout was HUGE.

I always early vote in person because I don't trust mail-in voting here, too many mail ballots are rejected because the signature "doesn't match," which is a subjective judgement, not a scientific one.

I'd say turnout today was about 3x what I normally see in any election, even a presidential election. I hope that's a good sign.

For reference in my area in 2020 41% voted Biden & 57% voted Trump, we'll see what happens this time.

I was a little disspirited when there were only 4 people early voting at 11am on the first day of EV. Duval County has gone blue in 2018 and 2020, so light turnout is not good.

The MAGAs are always stoked. They never fail to come out and vote. It may be that the impressive turnout observed is due to increased Dem turnout in the area.

Big turnout is good for us. Republicans are led by the rings in their noses. Dems can be herded slightly less well than cats.

My wife and I voted on the morning of the first day of early voting, there were tumble weeds blowing around the parking lot and the poll workers were lonelier than the Maytag repairman.

With the present junta that runs the Gunshine state, I am not sure that we will get an honest vote count. Florida government is crooked from the governor to the local dog catcher.

they may have to fight their way through a wall of Republican political signage illegally installed on the public property where the county has set up a polling station. That's how it was when my wife and I voted last week in Mandarin.

Political signs and even parties can set up outside the polling place, but they can’t be closer than 40 feet from the entrance.

First thing we do election morning is have someone mark off the 40 foot line.

Both Democrats and Republicans set up tables with sample ballots, voting guides, etc. all day long outside of every precinct I’ve ever seen here.

That seems a little intense given the current "amiability" among the parties.

Representatives from both parties are cordial with election officers, voters, and each other.

It doesn’t have to be angry and bitter.

A young black woman was stopped by a white guy who claimed he was a "poll warden" as she tried to enter the voting building. He told her she was at the wrong place and she needed to "find her own place". She produced her documentation and seemed a bit angry/resigned at the behavior of the self appointed voter judge. My wife was pretty mad about it and i wouldn't have wanted to be that guy if he hadn't backed off. He did and everybody voted but it was intense.

All of Washington State votes by mail. The county auditor's offices use the same program that the State Patrol uses to validate signatures and things seem to work well. At least in our county if your signature isn't accepted the auditor's office will do their best to get in touch and work things out if your ballot is legit, they really bend over backwards to ensure that the will of each voter is honored.

Don't like mail-in ballots; my signature isn't always the same, and I fear election officials are looking for any excuse to throw out ballots.

sad to say. Early voting in west central Florida was crazy busy. I drove up and handed my ballot to an election worker and he put it in the box. Easy peasy... a 5 min job..
