I saw a video earlier this week of a zoo feeding pumpkins to their hippos. They would toss an entire pumpkin into their open mouth and they would chomp down once they caught it. They gobbled up any scraps that didnt go down their gullets with the initial chomp.
I saw another video of a guy leaving pumpkins in his chicken pens/coops for them to peck at and eat. I would assume a variety of birds and small mammals would enjoy the seeds in addition, other animals like raccoons and opossums would eat them. I wonder if larger animals like deer and moose would eat them (not whole obviously).
