We're a day out from one of the most important midterms in modern history, and it has been nonstop Twitter obsession for nearly two weeks now. There is no detachment involved. It is highly emotional, breathless, and manic, with each rumor, bit of gossip, and conspiracy theory instantly disseminated, pored over, and obsessed about.
