3. I haven't seen any serious proposal that would end SS payments for those who recieving it now.

The proposals I've seen mostly impact those who have yet to retire. Like raising the age of eligibility, reducing benefits for those who retire early and limiting benefits for those who make above a certain amount of outside income

They have no plans on dealing with the consequences.

They do want to end the program and use the money to pay down the debt we have from giving huge tax breaks to billionaires for 40 years.

Rick Scott wants a chance to vote it away every five years. Ron Johnson wants that chance every year.

The Republicans couldn't care less who they kill off, even their own voters. Senior Living facilities like the one I am in, 3/4 of the residents would have to move elsewhere. Us included. We have adult children who would rather not be forced to take us in.
