I never dreamed we would reach this point. It was many years ago, but I took it for granted that opportunity would always be there. Now I fight, and vote, for my kids. If their girlfriends ever need an abortion, I will move heaven and earth to make it happen. I will sell my plasma to get them to a state or country where they can have things taken care of. I never dreamed we would be at this juncture. Please vote if you have not. We owe it to our country.

(1,147 posts)Demgurl. Then, I got divorced and my email was through my ex-husbands company. He would not let me get back into the email, so I made a new one. I wanted people to know even though I could not get back into my email, so I could not get my password, I am still the same person. I just have no access to my old account. If you were here back then, I wrote a piece on George Will and how he was part of the problem regarding rape. William Rivers Pitt saw it and got me onto the front page of his organization. He may be gone, but I will always remember him for that.

(81,527 posts)Let us NEVER EVER EVER have to say that about our precious, struggled for, and hard-won rights.
Yes, its work. Yes, its hard. Yes, it IS a struggle.
But whats harder and far more horrible is if we give up, and wind up living in 1950s Republican America.

(476 posts)Out of the country, in 72, for vasectomy. No one in amerikkka would do either, and just couldn't believe we wouldn't change our minds, later on. Passage of roe, has saved many women, physically/ mentally, and men too, who didn't want to be fathers. Married 51, happily childfree yrs, with no regrets
