They predicted it would be close, but so far Hochul is only running 3-5 points behind Schumer, who was projected to win the second the polls closed. Yes, Nassau and Suffolk are still outstanding and Zeldin will outperform Trump in those counties significantly, but Hochul doesn't need to do as well as Biden to win - Biden got 60% in 2020. It's kind of embarrassing that I don't know how to watch elections in my home state because I am not used to competitive races here, but am I missing something? Is there any way Hochul loses this?
