Newcasters Turned Politicians

So much for unbiased journalists. There seems to be a trend this election cycle for television journalists to throw caution to the wind and run for political office. Kari Lake is the obvious example. Mark Alford in Missouri was a popular newscaster on the local Fox station in KC. He won his seat with 72% of the vote tonight. He's such a pompous prick - seeing him in Congress is going to make my stomach turn. Thankfully I'm in KS and don't have to deal with him.

We had a really great one here in Iowa. Liz Mathis was a very popular anchor on KWWL NBC 7 out of Waterloo for many years. Tonight she lost to Ashley Hinson.
