We could pick up CA-41!

Ken Calvert, an election denier and multi-term Representative, trails his opponent Will Rollins. Calvert’s district saw its boundaries change this cycle. He picked up Palm Springs in addition to the conservative communities in western Riverside County that kept sending him to DC. Palm Springs has a large LGBTQ community that locals believed would not like Calvert’s less-than-friendly stance toward them.

As a former HS classmate of Calvert’s, I would find this pick up extra delicious.

Being gay I’m very hopeful here. Calvert TV commercials got really bad (negative) the last couple of weeks flat out calling Rollins a liar. This new district wrapped LGBT haven Palm Springs in with red Riverside. We used to have Dr Raul Ruiz for the whole Coachella Valley (he’s awesome).

Calvert losing would be icing on the cake. I can tell you the community here was really vocal about stopping him.
