(85 posts)They have been trying to gerrymander him out of Congress for a while, but he keeps winning. He was my representative when I first moved to TX in 2006. His district changes every 2 years. I had the pleasure of meeting him on a couple of occasions. He is one of the good ones!!

that got wiped or gerrymandered from a more racist
and anti-immigrant angle.

(25,496 posts)Years ago, this area was GOP, but in 2011, the VRA required that it be changed. Now it's back to GOP again.
I testified to the House and Senate that I had nothing in common with people in Marfa and El Paso and they probably won't want me in their district either. My testifying fell on deaf ears. God I can't understand how San Antonio and El Paso can be in the same congressional district. However, gerrymandering works for the GOP
