I wonder how this affects Trump's plans?

DeSantis won big in Flori-DUH. So no doubt that asshole thinks he's a shoe-in for President.

But Trump planned to ride in on a white horse after a YUGE red wave and declare his run. No doubt he was absolutely sure his candidates would be swept into office and every GrOPer would fall on their knees before him.

He's still trying to play it up as a great night for him, but he's lost that narrative battle, I think. Even if the GQP manages to eek out narrow majorities, this is seen as a disappointment for the GOP at the very least.

Will he still declare? I think it's to our advantage electorally if he does, but I wonder if Garland has the stones to indict a declared candidate?

The RNC said they would stop paying his legal bills once he's officially declared.

who would send Magat electors to the Electoral college, regardless of the popular vote.

Trump wanted Mastriano, who promised Trump Pa. Trump wants Lake, who promised Trump Arizona. Pretty good head start into winning an election when the electors are rigged.

Man o Man I hope lake loses.

Trump is all about appearances. He can’t appear weak by teasing an announcement and then delaying it.

How many things did he say were "two weeks away" from being announced that never happened.

Still, I'm inclined to think he WILL announce in hopes that Garland won't indict him for fear of being seen as "political."

He can't let the republican discuss amongst themselves and throw him under the bus. He will change the narrative and try to remain his hold on the republican party.

Stock up on popcorn, because the next 2 years are going to see that party destroy itself.

GOP leaders know they have to ditch Trump. But they also know Trump will turn against him the moment they aren't 1`00% loyal to him.

What I think happens is that Trump will be indicted and the GOP will use it as an excuse to cut him lose. This will cause Trump to go nuclear and start the Trump Party, or just tell all of his voters never to vote again.

If Dems play this right, we could see a monumental sweep in 2024 when we have super majority in the Senate, the WH, and an 80 seat edge in the House. Once Trump turns on the GOP, the GOP will have about 1/2 the votes they can count on.

I think Willis is very close to nailing his ass. For some reason, Trump seems to think that being a declared candidate will keep the law at bay at all levels. Won't he be surprised when he finds out it won't?

his ego can't take losing twice.

And if he declares he won't have his legal fees paid for and he won't be able to spend his grifter money on himself anymore.

He would lose. And badly, I think. Even some die hard MAGAts see that now. But does Trump see it? I dunno. Maybe it doesn't matter. He might just want it for whatever legal figleaf he thinks it gives him.
