Kansas Supreme Court: All Democratic appointed Justices were retained, keeping the majority

I do notice that the sole Republican appointed Justice, a Sam Brownback appointee who was the sole dissenter in the Court’s decision protecting abortion, received a higher retention vote than the Democratic appointees.

The Democratic appointees received around 65 to 67% “Yes” votes for retention, while Sam Brownback’s appointee received 73% “Yes” votes. That’s interesting.

At least we kept the majority. Abortion will likely remain protected in Kansas by Governor Kelly and this court.

and snail mails from the women's organizations and the Democratic party about this. The women who worked so tirelessly before the August win were out with Facebook posts every day, numerous posts and emails and snail mail. I have a feeling that Kansas is not going to go back. We are still mostly red, I was disappointed it was still so much red but the women have moved passed that boundary over their body and their right to control it without government intrusion or even opinion.

I got numerous mails about voting to retain ALL the Justices. I think that may be why he got so many. Not sure where it came from but it was supposedly from a womens group. Being the idiot that I am I chucked it all with a chuckle never thinking that anyone would fall for that. I can see why and how they did.
