The "Inconvenient Truth" that the pubbies, pundits and pollsters ignored Tuesday:

most Americans CAN walk and chew gum at the same time.

Unlike the spittle-flecked zombies at Trump's rallies, most of us are mostly decent moral people. We have noses that are excellent bullshit detectors and, when we're paying attention, we have an amazingly accurate "inner sense" or "intuition" that sounds an alarm when what a politician says contradicts our reality.

Abortion rights, racism, domestic terrorism, the economy, inflation, climate change, the assault on democracy, January 6th, income disparities---- ALL of these issues were considered by the voters and, in general, they chose Democrats to deal with them.

The message of the midterms was clear: America now recognizes what Trumpism is and they don't want it.

That does not heal our nation, but it could be a start.

We should not "tread on" the Trump cultists; we should begin STOMPING on them.

Perhaps the media, needs to get out of those rural diners and talk to regular, normal folks in diverse areas?

Last week, a grey-bearded MAGA fart in a pick-up truck was sailing thru our small, progressive, historic neighborhood in Springfield, MA, with one of those too-big 'Murican flags. I was outside taking out trash.

As he rounded our corner, I waved a big bird and shouted "Fuck You" to his open window. Yeah, took a shot that it was a tRumper trying to be intimidating. He stopped at the intersection. Couldn't hear what he said but he heard me tell him "That's right. Now get the fuck out of our neighborhood." Coward drove away after a few more seconds.

Worth noting that I'm 5 feet tall, female and early 60s. Fifth grade homeroom teacher called me The General. Dad had the same nickname for our Mom. Women in our family don't back down from that shit, especially from men.

These assholes think they can ride around without getting it thrown back. They. Are. Wrong.
