(21,642 posts)the polls closed. You can then vote in order, but I don't think it's mandatory. As far as food, if you're outside the 100ft boundary, why not? If you're inside it, your turn should be coming up soon anyway.

(63,221 posts)I have never come so close to kicking anyone in the ass in my life. I was voting in Boston in an apartment building and the line was almost out the door. It's freezing cold here and there was this woman in front of me who would refuse to move forward when the line moved forward.
She would just stand there, like she wanted to control the whole pace of the line. Meanwhile the line kept growing and people were lining up out the door outside. It totally pissed me off. What is it with people that need to control like that?
At least give the impression that the line is moving. The line snaked around many corners and people couldn't tell if the line was moving or not unless everybody moved forward as people voted. She just stood there making people wait behind her. I was pretty amazed at my self restraint. I would bet anything that she was a republican. Grrrrrrrrrr!
