Messing with the Republican primaries?

There have been several discussions here about the ethical and practical issues of pouring money into the campaigns of the rabid Trumpistas who won against more moderate R's and to lose in the general. I think that there were six of them and all lost.

The practical issue is whether this can backfire or just will evolve into an uncontrollable monster.

The way I look at it, this was an unusual elections and we should hope to never encounter something like that again. These were candidates whose loyalty and commitments were not to the Constitution, nor to their communities but to one crazy guy, a dangerous guy who attempted a coup and whose sole goal now is revenge.

So, yes, I accept this tactic for this cycle and would hope that this was just one unusual one.

This happens all the time. Republicans fund the Green Party to fuck us. We support their total whackos to fuck them.

Playing with fire? Maybe. Worth the risk so far? Yep.
