I used "hacked" in quotes, since company insiders absconding with the funds seems much more likely. Whoever did it, hundreds of million in dollars in crypto was stolen:

Between actual hacks, possible owner thefts like this one, pump and dump schemes, every unregulated activity imaginable and the lack of any government insurance and security, crypto investors have been little more than piggy banks to crack for the criminal crypto world.
