It's unique situation and I can't find a tutorial anywhere.
Joe Walsh is livestreaming VetsAid from Columbus Sunday evening for $20 and I want a front row seat.
He's using something called Veep to collect donations. I went there and paid my money and got an email with no links, but a countdown clock instead.
The problem is I don't have a smart TV and intend to view it with some friends at someone's house who does have one. One of the options in the email is to send the virtual ticket it to someone else. I don't know exactly how smart TVs work, so how can I set this up? I assume such TVs can access the internet, but I'm lost otherwise.
Thanx to all that take the time to help.

(18,650 posts)They sent me an email confirming my purchase and instructions register an account with an email.
Then that took me to this screen:

Upcoming events to this screen:

From there I went to the waiting room

I don't want to go to my friend's house and find out I can only see it at home on my computer. Should I send it to her as a gift? I can only do that once.

(8,916 posts)with the radio button "Join Waiting Room" is your entry point. Send as a gift "looks" like it would be an email to your friend with the link. I bet only one user can use the link at a time. I would think you could send it and if she can see the "join waiting room" button, you are good to go.
You might try these guys for a second opinion, computer help and support board

Hope you have a big screen and loud speakers.

(18,650 posts)so we all can see it. My email isn't installed on her TV, and neither is hers.

(17,195 posts)Right click the link 'Copy Link Location' and make it into a shortcut that you can put on a USB stick and plug into your friends smart TV.

(18,650 posts)Even though it's the best idea yet, I'd have to get that link at my house on my computer. Then I'd have to drive 20 minutes to her house with the USB. I don't have an email account set up on my phone. My friend has an email account on her phone, but not on her TV.
Nothing has been easy for me today.

(18,650 posts)We cancelled the viewing until next week. I found a free streaming recorder from NCH software. I made an MP4 of all 6 hours with only 35gb.
Now I can put that on a thumb drive and take it over to her house. Thanx for the advice!!
