There are At least Two threads with projections from Election Center calling both the Katie Porter and Katie Hobbs races.
Neither of these races has been called by any mainstream network.
Election Center is an unknown source, and not a reliable mainstream media source.
The OPs should consider deleting their posts, rather than spreading misinformation.

(15,658 posts)And Ive been on DU 18 years, and I follow your tweet of the day posts regularly.
Election Center cannot be considered a reliable source, IMO.

(15,658 posts)No network has called either race, nor has Dave Wasserman, nor anybody else.
But you decided to run with a small time, little known twitter account run by an unknown person with no record or reputation.
Your headline and post represented the tweeters unofficial projection as an established fact, which it is not.
That doesnt serve the DU community well.

(15,658 posts)I could post a tweet by a random account stating that Trump had been reinstated as president- would that be OK, as long as I had followed that account for a long time?

(1,314 posts)they have 20 supporters on a site I just found out about, Ko-Fi.com. AND, you can buy them a cup of coffee! No name that I could find, no mention of methodology. Oh, and one of the posts referenced was from last Wednesday.

(15,658 posts)Unlike the other two projections from this unknown tweeter.

(15,658 posts)Clearly this tweeter wants to generate clicks and donations, and so is quick to jump the gun with unsupported projections.

(1,544 posts). . . should go to the website of the Dept of Elections in the state in question and check their results.
Yes, I know, this can take a few days in the case of lots of absentee or provisional ballots, but it calms the mind to read it from the official source.
And anyone who follows Kornacki gets what they deserve.

(8,074 posts)I posted the same thing asking people to not post candidates as winners unless it's official and I received a little backlash but mostly support.
My good friends know that DU is my "go to" for information. I tell them that if someone posts something that seems a little off (not necessarily regarding this election at all) invariably someone will ask for a thread/source.
That's why I consider DU a very credible site.
