I think it's time to reinstate it. If our parents and grandparents could proudly sing it during the depression and World War II, we can surely do the same when things are looking up!
And by the way, HOORAY! We retained control of the Senate!

(15,412 posts)I asked the olds why we don't sing it anymore and they said it was too tied to the depression. They all lived through the depression and were very active in Democratic politics so maybe so.
