IQ45's complaints about the AZ tabulator problems are a friggin joke
Firstly, it wasn't a problem with machines anyone voted on, only on tabulation machines, which are two very different devices.
Everyone's vote (done on paper) was still tallied, it just happened a little later, on different equipment or by hand, vs machines at the polling place that were meant to tally votes on the spot to save time. Nobody was disenfranchised.
Also, seems likely issue was caused by stringent security, as the problem is reported to be related to the darkness of the print on the ballots themselves (not the user's markings, the actual ballot. Trying to avoid the Chinese Bamboo ones I assume ).
And I've not seen evidence this problem was specific to 'republican areas'. Not saying I'm sure either way, but I've not seen evidence.
And as far as longer lines being caused ... if that even happened ... tough shit. POC's have been dealing with long lines, literally on purpose, for freaking EVER. This sitch otoh was almost certainly an accident. If people just left the lines cause of some slight delays, bummer I guess, but ... that's happened so many times in so many places it's ridiculous.
And everyone COULD have availed themselves of mail-in ballots, which AZ has had for decades ... if they didn't have the time to potentially wait in lines for awhile.
Lastly pretty sure the reason we even had the new machines in Maricopa in the first place (presumably these new ones are the ones that had the issue with rejecting ballots) is because of the Cyber Ninja's audit compromising the old machines, forcing us to buy the new ones.
IQ45 is desperately grasping at straws.
