Time for a Judge-o-Rama
When the Senate reconvenes, Schumer should immediately set an expedited schedule for finalizing action on pending judicial nominations. As of November 1, 2022, Senate has confirmed 25 Biden-nominated court of appeals judges and 58 Biden-nominated district court judges. There are 57 appellate and district court nominations awaiting Senate action: 12 for the courts of appeals, and 45 for the district courts. In addition, there are around nine appellate court seats and 74 district court seats still awaiting a Biden nomination.
