I was worried about democracy. How can we say democracy works when we elected TFG. Our justice system is moving at below a snails pace and justice still seems a far away event. However ELECTIONS do work and democracy in America IS still strong.

yes, I am of the same generation.
I do remember those, along with the Levi's Big Bell Bottoms, can't believe I used to have a couple of pairs of those.



I used to wear these when I was off post or on leave, it was all the rage at the time, male and female, although, to be a little sexist, females looked far better in them than males did.

3. I agree with most of your sentiment

There has to be stiff penal consequences for the actual aiding and abetting the insurrection. Radio/tv/internet sites that promote seditious behavior need some too. But Carlson, IQ 45 keep flapping their treasonous yaps.

5. I had hubris in 2016. I never thought Trump could get elected.

Of course, I felt the same way about Bush 2 as well.

This year, I had hope. I could see that the polls were either
fixed or inaccurate.

I could feel momentum building against right wing fascism.

I'm sure glad it wasn't hubris this time!
