a soul crushing GOP defeat

the GOP at best gained zero senate seats and probbaly lost 1
the dems gained governorships
they flipped multiple state legislatures
they lost less than 10 house seats

all with a president in power with poor popularity

its almost as if the GOP is a toxic party and america us waking up to that fact

they didn't realize they moved out of the realm of conservative into extremism a long time ago. I told my husband, "Even people who don't read don't like the sound of burning books."

Inflation is all anyone talks about. The conditions were there for a red wave. But the Republicans are now seen as the anti Democracy Party.

This bodes well for Dems in 2024 where we could be running on a great economy and a long list of legislative achievements.

makes it look like more people dont like him than do. Just my opinion and could be completely wrong. The Afghanistan pullout is still fresh on a lot of people's minds and i think it shifted the media narrative to slam him relentlessly. Prior to that it was sunshine and roses.

...who associate anything wrong with the country, like high inflation right now, with the current president, not thinking through actual policy and blame.

But I doubt many people loathe Biden the way many of us (rightfully so) loathe Trump.

...it keeps happening. In 2024, 2026, 2028, etc.

They've had setbacks before, where they've just hunkered down and disrupted until their fortunes reversed in a new election.

They will need a string of losses, leaving them staring into the abyss of powerlessness, to really crush their current mindset.

They OPPOSE everything GOOD for America and Americans. They are plentiful on platitudes, but NO solutions to moving the country forward.
