Why the pundits missed the Gen Z surge. Hey guys and gals, have you ever heard of Influencers?

Joe Biden and the Democrats have. Billie Eilish spoke (and sang) at the 2020 Democratic National Convention. In 2021 President Biden invited Olivia Rodrigo to the White House where she addressed COVID vaccination.

Olivia Rodrigo and President Biden

There are many Gen Z influencers who grew up in the Trump era and have come to loathe the Republicans, but none with the reach and impact as Billie Eilish: And she's not pulling her punches -

Gen Z don't pull punches. When Olivia addressed a crowd of 100,000 at Glastonbury, she said "Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh: We hate you."

So how did the pundits and pollsters miss the fact that more than 2 out of 3 Zoomers loathe and despise the Republicans with an unbridled passion? A: They had their fingers in their ears and their eyes wide shut.

Don’t underestimate the power of campus campaigning- student organizations stood up and got the vote out. They talked to fellow students, educated, encouraged, assisted them in obtaining their absentee ballots if their homes were out of state and stood in line cheering everyone on, for those who voted locally on campus. Students were informed, engaged and angry this election cycle and they helped usher this in.

What I was saying's the pundits overlooked the Gen Z influencers. Everybody knows Bruce Springsteen and Katy Perry, but the new generation are also fiercely political. Calling out the Justices of the Supreme Court by name, saying 'we hate you' is next level.
