FINAL yard sign report from Butler County, PA (I hope)

Butler County has a +27% GOP voter registration. Josh Shapiro won almost 43% of the vote for governor which is a huge amount for a Democrat in Butler County. This amount goes to show, at least in part, that Doug Mastriano was a terrible candidate. John Fetterman got 36% of the vote which is a few percentage points higher than Biden (33%) in 2020 and Hillary (29%) in 2016. All a Democrat has to do to win statewide in Pennsylvania is shave a few points from the GOP candidate in heavily Republican counties like Butler and they will win the election.
Getting back to the topic at hand, driving around Butler County this past weekend I saw a number of Mastriano signs still out and about. Maybe due to the fact that Mastriano finally conceded the rest of his signs will disappear. The Democratic signs are all pretty much gone. As I reported several times on DU, I have never seen so many signs for Democratic candidates in Butler County and the election results backed up my prediction that both Shapiro (winning over 14%) and Fetterman (winning over 4%) would win their elections.
If Democrats get the right candidate for the right state and/or district and employ the 3000 county strategy (variation of Fetterman's Every County Every Vote motto) there will be Blue Tsunamis for years to come.

Most signs are down. There were more dem signs in Philly and the immediate burbs overall. More of the dem signs have been taken down vs gop signs. That is typical post elections around here - I noticed the gop are the last signs to come down.....if they ever do.

There is a farm in Bryn Athyn, which is where Oz claimed to be based, that had giant signs for Nastriono and Ooz and dozens of smaller signs. They were all gone by his weekend.

I know republicans who voted for Fetterman. I know some who refused to vote for Mastriano - they voted for Oz, but either left the gov slot blank or voted for Shapiro.

Was probably my sister's. She has a farm around there somewhere. She's a Trumper and loved Oz. I told her Oz would lose and she laughed at me.

Who got the last laugh now little sister?

I drive past a field that was home to a HUGE Mastriano sign. Day after the election it fell down from the wind. It’s still there mostly on the ground. Love it.

Texas has 254 and he went to every one of them, sometimes multiple times.

He did not win (mostly due to guns, border, gays, abortion and other hot button issues down here) Guns and border I think were the big ones.

Had he not done that I firmly believe he would have been destroyed in 2018 and not even attempted to run this year.

Someone should go around and collect all the OZ signs and take ‘em to Jersey and plant them in the Doctor’s front yard.

But he didn't have the top of the ticket like Fetterman did. Still, I think Democrats should not take their constituents in rural areas for granted. Fetterman's 3 point improvement on Biden's 2020 performance and 7 point improvement on Clinton's was enough votes to be the difference.

But then, I'm the kind of person who wonders why Democrats who voted for Biden didn't just turn out in the same kind of numbers as they did in 2020. So what if this isn't a presidential race, we got 80 million votes and if 78 million had turned out, knowing what the other side wasn't offering, we'd have picked up at least three more senate seats and a dozen in the house.

Elections have consequences and not turning out is a no vote.
