PA voter reports ‘NO PARKING FOR DEMOCRATS’ signs at polling place

A woman in Charleroi, Pennsylvania told local elections officials she saw five signs around their polling station set up to stop Democratic voters from parking close by.

The signs, saying, “NO PARKING FOR DEMOCRATS” and “WALK THAT WILL BE THE MOST WORK YOU DO ALL DAY” [sic] were mounted on barricades Tuesday morning, including one directly in front of her poll site. A picture of the sign taken by the woman, Erica Gust, picked up traction online after being posted by a friend, Lori Marks.

“She told me that she went to vote and there was that barricade that she showed me and four other signs with it, all saying that if you were Democrat, to park elsewhere,” Marks told The Raw Story Tuesday evening. “I just wasn’t gonna let it die, that’s all.”


According to a third-party intimidation complaint filed by Gust with OurVote, she ignored the sign and parked normally without incident.
