Attractive, basically shallow, tv news stars in their niches who have professionally hit their glass ceilings. Believe me, if Lake had the chops to become a network correspondent, she would have been selected but she doesn’t and wasn’t . Mika was chosen as the second banana for blowhard Joe and things actually did work out for her and incidentally for him, the great Shapeshifter.
Mika could see her as a fellow traveler in this and would have a certain amount of respect no matter what her politics are. We have that in my profession, where is there are people who use PR to become lecturers in a wide-ranging series of topics but in fact they were just barely adequate dentists and have managed to parlay their doctoral degree and some expertise into lots and lots of money. When we go see these people we do have arespect for their successes as well as their ability to perpetrate the big con. Whenever I am taking care of some difficult case or difficult patient, I think to myself that I could be out lecturing or series of topics, well paid by some dental company to do so and wouldn’t have to put up with this shit for which I am now too old.
