I was thinking the same thing, though in not quite the same terms. Trump's just droning through his speech, for the most part, and his audience seems to be having a hard time acting enthusiastic.

14. Not surprised. Took him forever

to get to the point of announcing the 2024 run. Then after making the announcement, he went off the teleprompter into a very boring ramble.

The jist of the teleprompter speech and the ramble is that he is promoting an image of US cities as "rotting cesspools of blood" that need a firm police hand to straighten them out. He bragged about his show of strength in sending feds to Portland and DC during BLM protests.

SUMMARY: Dems are radical socialists who have destroyed the fine economy that he left them with and are driving the country into the ground. They have destroyed the southern border which is now open to hordes of gangs, drug dealers, and human traffickers invading the US. We need strong, well armed police and feds to deal with cities and the southern border.

He put a new spin on his BS tonight. Someone has been coaching him because he took a cue from Biden. Instead of bragging that only he could fix the mess that the country is in, he said that he would not do this alone. It will be "OUR campaign," everyone working together to make it happen.

I turned him off during the rambling while he was building an image of police strength to straighten out the country. He was promoting a militaristic governing style.
