that China, Putin have exploited. And he showed them the weaknesses in the political sysyems before he was elected in 2016. Trump claimed he was strong and that they respected him tonight when he announced. He, in actual fact, lit a fuse for geopolitical mayhem.

The reign of the terrible yam has been ever-so-instructive in pointing out the multitude of ways in which our government and the accompanying labyrinthine networks of civilization that we have tended to take for granted are amazingly frail in reality. The whole house of cards is dependent on a tremendous amount of established "protocol," "precedent," and mutual trust and good will, all of which are currently on full display as subject to veto whenever some authoritarian thug, especially when armed or otherwise given more power than the average Jane or Joe so chooses.
