They are keeping Daniel Dale busy fact checking tfg's big lie fest last night. He's been on a few times since last night. Haven't seen much fact checking on MSNBC.

I much prefer MSNBC's approach to CNN's.

(17,130 posts)but the coverage they are giving it does not include fact checking and seems to be kind of wishy washy. It was "low key" is not nearly critical enough. And actually, it wasn't low key.

(7,873 posts)Simply ignoring them altogether is the play here. I haven't been watching every second of MSNBC last night and today, but from what I did see, they weren't even airing any of his comments. They just were talking about how he announced that he would be running for president in 2024. In this situation, you don't need to factcheck what you don't give air to to begin with.

So, it wasn't 100% lies. 99.99% probably.

(34,120 posts)a good part of it with the volume muted and they talked over it, some of that talk was not even about Trump! Can you imagine?
I had it on out of morbid curiosity.
I far prefer CNN to MSNBC. Their opinions do not influence me.

(17,130 posts)CNN is better at breaking news IMO and also covers more of a variety of stories. But I really hate the panels they have on during the day.

(34,120 posts)of it anywhere. I like to catch the headlines and maybe a little story but once it wanders off into opinion I turn it off.
