Commentator Ripped For Saying Herschel Walker Talks Like 'Countless Blacks'

https://www.newsweek.com/commentator-ripped-saying-herschel-walker-talks-like-countless-blacks-1760456

Acommentator who compared Herschel Walker's so-called "stupid" speech to that of "countless Blacks in the Deep South" has earned intense scorn—largely from Black people who come from the South.

Michael Tracey, a journalist and recurring guest on the Fox News show Tucker Carlson Tonight, tweeted his response to critics of Georgia's GOP Senate candidate on Wednesday night. Trump-backed Herschel Walker and Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock are headed to a runoff election on December 6 after neither candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote this month.

"Herschel Walker doesn't come across as the ideal US Senator, but the main reason he's called 'stupid' seems to be because he speaks in a heavy regional dialect, with lots of colloquialisms. This alone does not make him 'stupid'––he sounds like countless Blacks in the Deep South," said Tracey.

Tracey's name, the phrase "Countless Blacks" and the phrase "Deep South" were all trending on Twitter by Thursday. His characterization of Walker's accent was broadly repudiated by people who shared their own experiences in the Southern Black community.

Not how he says it. He is an empty suit not much different than Tuberville or Hyde-Smith.

werewolves, vampires, double speak...Walker is confident in his ignorance, impervious to shame, forever tripping over his mouth, yet, convinced his verbal diarrhea is weighty and thought-provoking..I'm not certain Walker comprehends he is McConnell's useful idiot, a useful idiot with a singular purpose..the ultimate seat-holder..it's not his dialect or cadence that is off-putting, it's that Democrat-hating white christians would vote for a folding chair if it meant owning THE LIBS and Walker is that folding chair..

I don't watch much video, I mainly read words. It's the words he spoke that I read which made me think he was stupid. I didn't add in an accent.

talking about vampires and/or werewolves that he saw on TV---

(and turned out there were NO werewolves featured in the movie he referenced--
so I guess he cannot even tell the difference between movie vampires and werewolves???)

Actually, I have no recollection of any white candidates talking about them, either....

Bennie Thompson has one: Mr. Retrograde, who was raised in Mississippi and Alabama, says he sounds like a Black Delta preacher. Mr. Thompson, however, has working brain cells - a lot of them - and can put words together in a coherent fashion so that they actually make sense.

Hershel Walker, on the other hand, can't seem to make a lick of sense no matter where is accent is from.

Because when I watched and listened to the video of Walker's remarks, I couldn't help but disagree with Walker's apparent conclusion, that he had faith and by implication faith superior to Raphael Warnock. I mean, Warnock is the literal successor to the pulpit once held by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. And Walker is trying to one up that with his rambling discourse on creature feature movies, as if that's reality.
