Really, this non-American is shaking her head.
I don't get how people STILL give these nutbars so many votes.

(81,467 posts)There was just no contest. NONE. Obama is SO far superior to wrongney in EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE. How the hell could anybody out there vote differently (unless they're racists or the 1% of course).

(12,821 posts)I know some people who are on-board with the idea that Obama is anti-religion and trying to systematically destroy the Catholic Church. Between that and the "pro-life" plank, they're willing to also believe the whole "he's a socialist and wants to destroy America" thing, so they're voting Romney.

They all need to go.

(10,893 posts)We have the most bullshittingest media in the world that either provides 24/7 GOP shilling (FOX), or they don't do enough to call them out and they look for stuff to falsely equate both parties. And because of the Citizens United ruling several years ago, corporations and billionaires here can now spend unlimited chunks of cash in attempts of swaying public opinion about various policies. Another thing I might add is that turnout in presidential elections is around 50-60%, meaning there are more non-voters out there than voters of either party. Many of those voters would be gravely benefited by Democratic policies, but they're frustrated with the 2-party system and they believe their vote doesn't make a difference.
