So how can Trump use Garland's decision concerning a special counsel to his benefit?

Simply as a way to delay? Might he try to get the special counsel to start from scratch?

Anything?

(We should brainstorm these matters. I know he is.)

No downside for trump. He'll be dead before any charges are brought. Meanwhile kacekwl Nov 2022 #6

Trump and sane people know that Trump is guilty, what is needed are the balls to indict a former president.

"How can the public ever ever believe a special counsel's decisions are objective if they are based on the FBI's biased evidence?"

There would be no need for one if they didn't. So we can expect months or years of delay.

The SC won't be able to argue a case on twitter, so tfg will be free to bash, malign, and make shit up to his hearts content.

And of course the media will dutifully report it.

The SC is going to be someone who has zero knowledge of the work DOJ has already done, so they have nowhere to start BUT from scratch. Imagine how much paperwork DOJ has compiled in the last almost two years since Garland took over?

The SC is going to have to check EVERY single "layer of the onion" the DOJ has already peeled. That is going to take months if not years. To put it in perspective the Durham investigation, which was a FAR smaller scope than the numerous crimes drumpf has committed, took about 2 years from beginning to when it ended in disgrace with acquittals.

Rest assured that a SC being appointed now guarantees that drumpf will be able to go all the way through the 2024 election without being hampered by any indictments (at least at the Federal level).

He will continue to intimidate officials to find more votes. He will continue to steal classified documents. Life goes on for trump and his criminal associates who will be sure he's the next and last president until he is dead.
