Since we're retired, we'll vote on a weekday anyway and leave Saturday to people with busier schedules.

(51,129 posts)I did early vote in person the first day available in my area. They had it earlier but it was downtown.

(21,596 posts)I live in a college community. When I was knocking on doors prior to the general election, I found that many students were registered to vote in their hometown and not the town where their college or university is located.
Plus, our local public schools and colleges and universities are on Thanksgiving break right now, do its so important to have many opportunities to vote, especially for those who are working through the holiday.
Athens-Clarke County, GA is going to have Sunday voting on November 27. Other Georgia counties are holding Sunday voting too!

(11,985 posts)They'll have to cancel them now. I hope they're busy because if it is slow, I would be pissed to have to work a holiday for no reason.
Since runoffs don't specifically mention being closed for holidays, they should at least be thankful they get Thanksgiving off.
I'm all for early voting of course, but I think taking a holiday away from workers is pretty shitty.
