Poll: Majority Oppose GOP Investigations Of Hunter, Fauci

Poll: Majority Oppose GOP Investigations Of Hunter, Fauci

Since Republicans are controlled by extremists, they will do just the opposite.

"SNIP......

A new Morning Consult poll refutes many of Jim Jordan's investigation fantasies and the top priority for American investigations should focus on Fentanyl trafficking in America, border operations, and infant formula shortages.

.......

What Americans do not want is for Republicans to waste time and effort on investigating Hunter Biden, Dr. Fauci, impeaching Biden, Covid origins (Wuhan conspiracies), transgender athletes in sports, and the 2020 general election.

In other words, as Morning Consult writes, "The House GOP’s Agenda for the Next Congress Isn’t Particularly Popular

However, the crackpot Republicans have other ideas.

A sh*tshow is upon us, but let Republicans waste their energy on useless things to appease the MAGA cult.

shoot themselves in the foot and still stay standing. I think people will tire of this as they’re worried about inflation and rising prices.

I guess that isn't surprising when you're fed a steady diet of bullshit.

Dems have to be consistent and ask the GQP what their plans are on inflation et al, because they don't know how to govern. I hope Dem messaging is on point with this.

On that entire list, only 4 topics get over 50% support among Rs.
Now, R leadership will ignore such results, no matter how valid (and we can't be certain of that. )
But, this poll suggest that their own voters generally don't want the great majority of those activities.
Will they still play to the lunatic base? Probably. Will they be able to whip those votes from R reps in purple districts? That seems more tenuous.
