(22,156 posts)all by himself. How much is Twitter worth anymore (that is, how much of the overpaid $44 Billion Dollar price tag did he burn through)?

(65,159 posts)$44 billion paid for $14 billion in assets, the assumption of existing debt and $11 billion in new debt, for $5 billion in annual revenues with under 4% in pretax margins.
Not good, huh?
Thing is, I'm not seeing how a judge would offer favorable reorganization terms under Chapter 11 when the owner voluntarily overpaid by $30 billion over assets.
Why wouldn't a judge consider it unsalvageable and insist on Chapter 7, in which case the creditors take ownership?

(22,156 posts)satellite constellation? I was wondering why he was interested in a content-based application (twitter) and thought immediately of his Star link. I don't know enough about Star Link other than the fact that it provides telecommunications services to various across the globe Countries.
Broadband is an increasingly rare commodity, so this could be a rather expensive way to get into needed bandwidth. With that said, I also had heard that even though the entire satellite consortium isn't up yet (I don't think it's all up there yet, until 2027 from what I read), transmission speeds are already slowing down due to existing traffic (whoa, and the network is not even fully deployed).
In any event, paying such a gigantic premium for Twitter left me wondering what in the hell is he doing here? From his initial press releases and / or demands to Twitter employees, I don't think he even knows what the hell he's doing. Could it be that he's getting ready to sell off Tesla, and using the losses on Twitter to offset his tax liabilities? Just a random thought.
