1. You can read, but only so far. However...

If you use the Firefox browser, the "Breakthrough Twitter Login Wall" add-on eliminates the issue altogether. They've had that log-in wall up for several months, well before Eloon ever came into the picture.

Lately I've been seeing a popup side window encouraging me to sign in with my Google acct but a click in the free field in the margin dismisses it.

3. I dunno what's going on but

it works as before now. Before, I went to the following site twice and it came up with the sign-in/sign-up prompt both times (which could not be closed).

4. Click on the box for signing up. On the next window, click on the "X" in the

upper lefthand corner. You're back to reading tweets.

No, I do not know why this works. Someone pointed this out to me. I can't remember who or where.

had to do in the past but lately (past few months) it has not been necessary.
