Call it DOJ derangement syndrome.
Almost as soon as Atty. Gen. Merrick Garland announced the appointment of a special counsel to provide independent, nonpartisan oversight of criminal investigations related to Donald Trump, Republicans started screaming.
The appointment in itself, they said, demonstrated the Department of Justices corruption and politicization. But be assured, if Garland hadnt named a special counsel, they would have screamed bloody murder as well.
An outrage, harrumphed Trump, predictably. But more tellingly, the new Republican majority fell right in line.
The GOP House Judiciary Committee faction, which will be charged with overseeing the Justice Department in the coming Congress, tweeted that Jack Smith and his buddies have been politicizing Washington for AGES. And hes who AG Garland picked to be the special counsel to investigate President Trump? Come on.

It will be interesting to see how faux news covers the special council appointment.

The children of the corn are demanding answers? Perhaps they need to stop covering up for the criminal that was TDFG. I can see they are not going to play nice, lest they get investigated for their part in this sordid tale of corruption and disloyalty to the Rule of Law and the US Constitution.

that could look into the House Judiciary Committee? Can 2 play this game?

Criminals usually have a distinct antipathy toward the constabulary, don't they?
