Apple deleted all tweets from its Twitter account & the head of their app store deleted his account

https://twitter.com/Apple

https://twitter.com/pschlller ...and that new account was apparently just created to replace Schiller's own, Musk probably doing this to give Schiller the finger.

Musk was sniping at the Apple and Google app stores a couple of days ago. I've read that he won't be able to meet their standards, that they'd started looking more closely at him, so that was apparently his preemptive attack.

Tweet from Christopher Bouzy of BotSentinel showing Schiller's account and then the page temporarily showing the account didn't exist:

Wow... Phil Schiller deactivated his Twitter account. Phil is responsible for the Apple App Store and Apple Events. If Apple pulls Twitter from the App Store, Twitter is done.

EDITING to include a tweet linking to a NYT piece on the 18th, by Twitter's former head of trust and safety, on the app stores and Twitter:

Musk's tweet attacking the app stores as a duopoly imposing a 30% tax on the internet was posted later that day.

turn out to be exaggerated if the key criteria is availability on the App Store.

Advertisers, operational servers and networks are the bigger keys.

If you can't get it on the Apple App Store you have to jail break the phone. May not be worth doing, and it's extra work. Google can be worked around more easily but that still takes effort. Your average troll may have enormous amount of energy to troll, but doing the grunt work to do the trolling often is too much work.

I'm not following all this terribly closely because I don't care that much about twitter.
But, from what I see here, it's awfully juvenile.
Like the rich kid who gets a fancy car so he can announce who DOESN'T get to ride in it.

all they would have to do is delete the app from the apple store.

twitter would vanish like a fart in the wind.

Just as easy as voting where I live. Head to the Apple App Store and give Twitter a one star rating.

I love voting!

I haven't been on Twitter for years and deactivated an old account I forgot was still active for a shop I had, but you don't have to be on Twitter to hear about this shit show. I'm so tired of it. I feel like I have to take a shower whenever I hear about anything Musk-related. At this point I want him, TFG and all asshats like them to disappear.
