The idiot is all in on Jungian psychology, one of the least scientifically rigorous approaches.

He makes all kinds of assumptions on human behavior on such a flawed approach. "Universal Subconscious" mystical jargon for the testable concept that humans have similar nutritional, environmental, and other basic needs and their experiences can be similar based on those shared ideas. We all need water to survive, therefore water will figure heavily into the human psyche and experience. Similarly, we have experience with death, and wonder what if anything comes after our life on earth. There is no "shared human subconscious" it is shared experiences. If it was a unified subconscious, then it would be more UNIFORM. Instead there are geographical differences in culture, language food, etc... but still there is the "human experience". We need water and food to survive, we need shelter, we have faced adversity, we have people who are models of overcoming adversity (heroes).

Peterson, stupidly thinks that the images of snakes intertwining represent early people's concepts of DNA rather than the more simple and testable idea that snakes exist in almost every part of the world and they breed by ... what boys and girls ... by intertwining! It is a symbol of life and fertility idiot! No one knew what the hell DNA was or what it looked like until the 1950's.

He is only popular because he is the closest thing that right wingers have to an "intellectual". Basically a crackpot that abandoned actual intellectual and academic rigor to pursue riches in the intellectual wasteland that is Conservatism.

1. Use big words
2. Be on "our" side

Once you have those bona fides, you can give old meaning to the term "white paper".
