All the media, including NPR hosts, precede stories about the president with something like, “Given his low poll numbers …” I may just not be remembering, but in the run up to the 2020 vote, I do not recall the media harping on Trump’s low poll numbers, which were always lower than Biden’s are today. The Post especially has regular articles about Democrats not wanting Biden to run again, mostly unnamed Democrats and speculation about which Democrats might run in his place.

Given the great job he has done, if he wants to run again he should.
