Science fiction writer John Scalzi FTW

after child king Elon Musk's Twitter tantrum today over Apple having stopped most of their advertising on Twitter, and their considering dropping Twitter from their app store...

I mean, if you bring back to the service a bunch of seditionists and bigots, who then use said service to target and slander people they don't like, and you don't do anything about it, you might run up against other companies' standards and practices.

He was born in South Africa, so the twisting of logic to make that happen would be interesting.

as someone not in the legal profession, I would assume it means people born in the US, but please remember that Mitt Romney was born in Mexico, Rafael "Ted" Cruz was born in Canada, and John McCain was born in Panama, and all were allowed to run for president.

His mother is Canadian and his father South African.

Mitt's parents were US citizens, Ted Cruz mother was a US citizen and John McCain was born on a Military base which is generally viewed as sovereign US territory.

There is no argument to be made that Musk was a US citizen at birth.

Evaded.

His PR videos were wall-to-wall all summer designed to make them look like such a great guy they were setting him up they are building him up for something malign and I don’t know what it would be other than president. Dictator? Maybe.

I suspect with no evidence that he became interested in Twitter at the encouragement of some foreign oligarchs at least. Deplatforming progressives benefits some baddies, not only here but worldwide. Ukraine especially.

The constitution is an obstacle to him only when the Republicans don’t have enough power in their view including in state legislatures required to overturn.
