Should Justin Trudeau have cracked down on the anti-masker covid denier truckers like Xi Jinping?

Many of the truckers, who shut down bridges and a couple of large Canadian cities in protest, and the Chinese protesters seem to be saying many of the same things.
I seem to remember a fair number of posts suggesting that Justin Trudeau should have cracked heads, locked them up and disqualified their licenses.

A Canadian friend of mine is suggesting that the dual positioning is hypocritical.

They were in high demand for work, unlike many of the workers who were losing their jobs.

They tried to shut down DC and were laughed out of town and ended up staying 60 miles northwest of DC before they got kicked off the land they were staying on. Then they starting whining about how they were getting reimbursed by a white nationalist group.

So fuck them!

lock people in a building only for it to burn down and kill 44 people? No? Then not the same thing.

I think in some cases, it prevented them from making mortgage payments and supporting their families.

I also remember some posters here wanting Canada to seize the trucks and destroy them.
