Realtime AI Biology-Based DeepFake Finder

[img][/img]

Intel...created the world’s first real-time deepfake detection software to root out this most-sophisticated of impersonation technologies.

The software uses tiny changes in image pixelation related to the movement of blood through human veins to detect whether a recorded video is real or fake with 96% accuracy.

...it’s the first program that can catch deepfakes in real time, as most other detection apps require uploading videos for analysis, then waiting hours for results...

Intel Labs opted for a more organic approach; one that also increases efficiency, as it’s capable of monitoring 72 video streams at once.

Deliberate manipulation of reality is neither new, nor—of necessity—nefarious: Art, plays, fantasy and such.

What is of concern is the growing difficulty in making a determination between that which does reflect reality, and that which does not. This is of special import when the non-real is being created explicitly to influence real-world decisions.

"There are more idols than realities in the world..." asserted Nietzsche. This has become evermore so distressingly obvious since Conway's neologism of "alternative facts" in the first hours of Rump's Reign.

You're correct that deepfakes will change in response to such detection measures in order to evade.

However, detection methods will also evolve.

Six months ago such real-time detection was not possible.
